The Maloca

The Maloca is the ceremonial heart of Libélula.

Built by local builders using natural, locally sourced materials, this circular space is held by the surrounding forest and open to the elements. A fire burns at the centre, grounding the space and bringing warmth, focus, and life to the circle.

This is a place of joy and depth — a space to cry, to dance, to pray, and to remember. As ceremony unfolds, the sounds of the nearby river and waterfalls move through the Maloca, weaving the natural world into the work being held.

Here, we sit in circle with the seen and unseen.
